Opinion about the film “The Fox and the Dog”

So… Good day to you, accidentally lost blogger, who may have missed the smoking room and ended up in this blog of mine… Or came in on purpose? Anyway, good to see you! So turn on the song and read!

(There was a Flash player, but since 2020 Flash is not supported by browsers)

While my impressions of the cartoon have not yet faded, I’m going to tell you a little about it, and perhaps you’ll watch it later! (To be honest, this is what almost the entire text is aimed at).

So, the year is 1981, the same fuss is going on in the world, people are born, die, politicians are being holied, the first cases of AIDS are being recorded… Walt Disney Studio continues to produce cartoons with animals that think like us that are so popular with children, and not only them (Wow, if only they knew what this would lead to by our time. ). “The Fox and the (Hunting) Dog,” which we will talk about today, is one of them.

That’s it! Someone should take care of you. So… Let me think.

The plot here… Let’s just say it’s cliched. But even though it is simple, it touches the soul. The story revolves around two characters – the domesticated fox Todd and the almost purebred hunting dog Copper.

God! Holy saints! This is… This is a fox! Wow! And you, as I see it, are a smart kid!

I have a surprise https://tipsportcasino.co.uk/ for you, Chief! Vidal? A real hunting dog! He’s still a snotty puppy, but he’ll grow up…. It’s okay, he’ll get used to it soon! Teach him your dog sciences!

This story is about friendship. A very strong friendship that is tested by time and nature. Yes, by nature – after all, a fox, even if domesticated, is still a good collar, and people love good collars.

-What are you sniffing??
– I found a trace!
– Whose trace??
– I don’t know yet….Actually, he’s yours. Uuuuuu.

– Wow! So big! And his ears are smaller than yours, Copper!
– Ears aren’t the most dangerous thing, Todd.

– Poor little animals! But why are they so?
– What can you do, Todd?? Alas, Copper will soon become a hunting dog, a killer of animals.
– No, not my friend Copper! He won’t change!
– I would like to believe.

To be brief and without spoiling, there is a lot of drama in the plot, it itself is very emotional… I even cried at one moment, which I clearly did not expect from myself.

There they are! The chief is on his tail! *The climax comes next, so I won’t spoil it*

All other traditional aspects of any cartoon (drawing, music. ) play on the plot. And they play very well. The musical accompaniment is especially worth noting: the orchestra plays brilliantly!

What comes after this moment is truly overwhelming with emotion.

Here it’s worth making a small lyrical digression and saying that Disney knows how to do one thing very well – combine morality and… comedy or something. There are also quite comical moments (see a couple of woodpeckers and sparrows (correct me if I’m wrong), who try to catch a caterpillar for a long time. Although you can even look for morality there, but I’m not a master at this), as well as moments that will make you sympathize.

There are some nice landscapes, the characters themselves are drawn quite well, although the Chief sometimes has an outline blue cast. Handmade is shorter.

— Copper! Hey Copper!
– I recognized you right away, Todd. I recognized it by smell. You’ve grown up great!
– You too, Copper. I saw you come back. With Chief and Hunter.
– I’m glad to see you, Todd, but… you shouldn’t have come here. Listen, you and I can get into trouble!

Songs… I couldn’t appreciate them in the original performance, but in our translation they sound quite good, although I have outgrown the age when I was drawn to songs in cartoons. In general, the entire cartoon is translated as standard. Not bad, but the voices are already familiar from a thousand Disney cartoons that we all probably watched as children.

– You had a hard time last night, yes, baby?
– Not the right word.
– Higher nose! Look around you! Look how beautiful the forest is this morning!
– After this night, nothing will make me happy… Oh, you! W-who is this?
– Oh, it’s just a fox, your age.

After looking through all the rubbish that I printed above, I realized that it was time for me to stop! In conclusion, I will say that I recommend this cartoon to almost everyone who believes in friendship forever, that your destiny can be changed and that life is still a good thing.

P.S. Don’t be fooled by the film’s happy ending. The atmosphere, even despite it, remains a little… gloomy… In general, it’s constantly changing here, from beginning to end it’s getting darker and darker… boooo…
